NPPL SSEA Training from Unlicensed Aerodromes Unlicensed aerodrome may be used for the purpose of SSEA training, provided that the organisation conducting such training has satisfied itself that the requirements of CAP 793: Safe Operating Practices at Unlicensed Aerodromes will be strictly observed. |

Increase in NPPL charges for SSEA and SLMG applications As from the 1st August 2011, fees will increase from £137 to £142. Applications for addition of a rating will increase from £69 to £74. |

Revalidation and Renewal requirements for NPPL Ratings A summary of revalidation and renewal requirements can be found here or in FAQs. Full details are in Schedule 7, Part C of CAP393: Air Navigation: The Order and Regulations". It should be noted that expiring licences cannot be re-issued using this exemption and at that point a NPPL must be applied for. |
Who do I submit a copy of my renewed medical declaration? There is no requirement at present for non-NPPL holders to submit copies of their medical declarations to the CAA unless they are asked to do so, normally in support of an application for a rating or on request of an authorised officer of the CAA. There is also no requirement at present for non-NPPL holders to submit copies of their medical declarations to NPLG Ltd. There is a requirement, however for NPPL holders to forward a copy of their renewed medical declaration to NPLG Ltd.
